Introduction: Racism in Taiwan (by Jing)

Nowadays, more and more foreign laborers (include foreign bride) come to Taiwan. They come to Taiwan just want to earn more money for their family or make their dream come true. It needs courage to come to a strange country to work. Maybe they will make expect before they come to Taiwan. But when they arrive Taiwan, they will find that most people racism them just because they are foreign laborers.
Being a foreigner’s dreams land, is Taiwan friendly? Blessie, a foreign laborer wrote a poetry is said “A stranger in your land as I seemed to you. Like an intruder I am judged with malice. I am never tried, but convector in your thoughts. I am a prisoner surrounded by your strong pillars Confused and helpless. Yet stands still. In the hope that someday I am orphaned by a home called Taiwan.” Just like Blessie said, many employers in Taiwan only think foreign laborers just like guest workers so they’re condition of work don’t need to high. In contrast, they have to do their work even all day long and their wages may be very low. We should to understand them. We can talking with them, understand why they want to come to Taiwan to waork, help them if they have problems or troubles. We should make a friend with them. Remember, foreign laborers not just a low-price labor, they are the hardworking people! The world is the global village. So we have make our country without any racism because we just like a big family.
